Two Days of Pride & Patriotism at St. Lawrence Sr. Sec. School, Haldwani 🇮🇳

St. Lawrence Sr. Sec. School, Haldwani, in collaboration with the Central Bureau of Communication, Nainital (Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Govt. of India), hosted a two-day celebration on 30th & 31st October 2025, marking the 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and 11 Years of Seva, Sushasan & Garib Kalyan.

The celebrations began on 30th October with Hon’ble Mayor Shri Gajraj Singh Bisht as Chief Guest, inspiring students to stay away from harmful habits and dedicate their lives to nation-building. Col. (Retd.) S. K. Joshi also encouraged students to engage in creative and purposeful pursuits. The day featured Patriotic Dance and Painting Competitions, a lively performance by Parvatiya Utthan Kala Samiti, and a sapling plantation ceremony symbolizing growth and unity. Self-Help Groups displayed handmade and local products promoting self-reliance and entrepreneurship.

On 31st October, National Unity Day was observed in honour of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s 150th Jayanti. Hon’ble MLA Shri Banshidhar Bhagat (Kaladhungi), Smt. Deepa Dharamwal (Chairperson, District Panchayat), and Brig. (Retd.) Dhiresh Joshi graced the event. Families of freedom fighters, Azad Hind Fauj members, and war heroes were felicitated for their service to the nation. The day began with a spirited Run for Unity, patriotic performances, and an exhibition showcasing Sardar Patel’s life and India’s development journey.

Guided by Principal Mrs. Anita Joshi and supported by officials of the Central Bureau of Communication, Nainital, the two-day event beautifully reflected the values of unity, service, and national pride.
